Take a count of the exits you pass right by
You wouldn’t notice at all
Proud of the fruits of a secret pact and you miss
All the spaces between the walls
Unglue and detach
Disguises only distract
Your shape is the same as the space you fit
The point has been lost, you’re in it too thick
Distraught by difference
Recluse like stone
Unsafe electric
Your feats are known
Clone in a bind
Like ticks that dig but never look behind
Stay true
What’s the point of meeting someone just like you?
Maybe this time maybe next time you might find
A new and better scope
A fresher point of view
Tend gate for selfish and insincere
too many wires exposed
Cling to the same beauty marks that you seem to share
You’re afraid and it shows so
Unglue and detach
Disguises only distract
Your shape is the same as the space that you fit
Now the point has been lost cause you’re in it too thick
Distraught by difference
Recluse like stone
Unsafe electric
Your feats are known
Clone in a bind
Like ticks that dig but never look behind
Stay true
What’s the point of meeting someone just like you?
Maybe this time maybe next time you might find
A fresher point of view
The same crash and burn from the U-turn
Forget to hit the brake til it’s all burned
Clone in a bind
Like ticks that dig but never look behind
Stay true
What’s the point of meeting someone just like you?
Maybe this time maybe next time you might find
A new and better scope
A fresher point of view
This album is one of very few 10 out of 10s in my book, not just in heavy alternative/ hardcore but music in general. Every single one of these songs is fantastic and P. Kindlon never fails to add an unmistakable sense of humor to it all in his lyrics. Just an absolutely amazing album front to back ellis_boyd_redding
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
GLAAS follow up their killer debut LP from 2022 with this snappy EP, which puts some hip action into their claustrophobic post-punk sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2023
